Coca-Cola South Africa introduces redesigned PET bottle for Valpré spring water

Coca-Cola South Africa has introduced a redesigned PET bottle for its Valpré spring water brand, with the updated packaging becoming available nationwide from 1 July 2026. The redesign applies across the plastic bottle portfolio while the spring water, product label and brand positioning remain unchanged.

The revised bottle features a refined silhouette, embossed branding and geometric facets intended to enhance shelf visibility and product differentiation. According to the company, the redesign includes an embossed Valpré “V” crest on the upper shoulder, diamond-inspired facets on the neck and lower section, and the existing label carrying the gold Valpré emblem. Valpré Still Spring Water continues to use its blue bottle, cap and label, while the sparkling variant retains its teal colour scheme.

“The new Valpré bottle is a celebration of thoughtful design,” said Mario I. Garcia, Vice President and Managing Director at Coca-Cola South Africa. “It reflects our belief that premium quality should be seen and felt. This design evolution elevates how the brand shows up on shelf, giving consumers a more premium experience of the same spring water they know and love.”

The redesign covers 330ml, 500ml and 1.5L still water bottles, together with 330ml, 500ml and 1L sparkling water bottles.

Valpré spring water continues to be produced and distributed locally by Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA), the authorised bottler of The Coca-Cola Company. The company stated that the packaging update focuses solely on the bottle’s external design, with no changes to the spring water or label. The redesigned bottles are now available through major retailers, wholesalers and selected premium dining establishments across South Africa nationwide.
